1960 50th Anniversary of the Philippines Tuberculosis Society

The Philippine Islands Anti-Tuberculosis Society was founded in Manila on July 29, 1910 by a group of private individuals led by U.S. journalist Mrs. Eleanor F. Egan.  Today, the organization now called the Philippine Tuberculosis Society, Inc. (PTSI), continues to be  engaged in the prevention, control and treatment of tuberculosis in the Philippines.

The Philippines Tuberculosis Society 50th anniversary stamps were printed by the Government Printing Bureau of Japan and issued July 29, 1960.
